WIVES are another one of them there post punk bands from New York City. However, on debut LP So Removed they distance themselves from the art school Ramones isms of fellow Big Applers like Parquet Courts and Bodega. Tracks like The 20 Teens and Workin showcase a scuzzier, more low slung sound influenced by Sonic Youth and The Pixies and maybe also a little bit by the Men.
